Infopreneur business model is the most common way to start an online business. All of us know something and good at something. You use what you aready know to share with people across the world wide web. In returns you make a business out of it and earn some income from people who are looking for solutions to their problems.
So, you want to become an infopreneur?
An infopreneur is knowledgable about something.
An infopreneur shares his knowledge passinately.
An infopreneur is willing to help others by providing solutions to other people's problems.
An infopreneur provides resources or shows other people where to get the solutions of their problems.
Personal Experience
I personally started an online business using the infopreneur business model. I started by doing a brainstorm for ideas. Next, I did my research to find out what problems other people have.
After I found out that I could use my knowledge to help other people, I started a website to give my advise on those problems.
I provided some free advise and some recommendations to my readers on my website.
How do I make money?
Don't have a product to sell? No problem at all!
I do not sell my own products. Howwever, I recommends other people's products to my readers. I earn commission out of those recommendations I make.
I also sell ads space on my website (see case studies) to get constant revenue.
Challenges I had:
1) I started with limited knowledge on how to build a website
2) I did not know how to promote my website to get readers
However, at this point of time, I no longer face these challenges any more. I am grateful to a local friend who taught me to use the right tools to do all these things.
After the above two major challenges were resolved, I could devote my time in research to gain new knowledge to serve my readers better.
